your mental health is just as important as the lives that you save
Marine search and rescue demands are intense,
and it’s okay to feel the weight of those experiences.

Taking care of your mental well-being ensures you remain strong, resilient, and ready to face whatever challenges the water brings.
Remember, supporting yourself is key to continuing the vital work you do for others.

You’re not alone—reach out if you need support.

critical incident stress management
(CISM)
Is a structured approach we use to support our volunteers through the emotional and
psychological impacts of traumatic events, such as serious accidents or natural disasters.

CISM aims to reduce critical incident stress, prevent severe psychological conditions like PTSD, and facilitate quick recovery through early intervention and peer support.

CISM is activated after major events
or whenever it is needed.

& your crew
If something comes up during a call, or you notice a crew member having a tough time, please say something.

We’re here to support you — but we can’t help if we don’t know.
You’re not in this alone, and your crew member doesn’t have to be either.
